Lobster, cheddar, and buttery bread unite in a hot, satisfying grilled melt perfect for a decadent meal.
# What You’ll Need:
→ Seafood
01 - 7 oz (about 200 g) cooked lobster meat, chopped
→ Dairy
02 - 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
03 - 2 slices Gruyère or Swiss cheese
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
05 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
→ Bread
06 - 4 slices sourdough or brioche bread
→ Seasonings
07 - 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives (optional)
08 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
09 - Pinch paprika or cayenne pepper (optional)
# How to Make It:
01 - Combine lobster meat with salt, pepper, and optional chives and paprika or cayenne in a small bowl. Toss gently to distribute seasonings.
02 - Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice for enhanced crispness. Spread unsalted butter on the other side.
03 - Arrange two slices of bread, mayonnaise side down, on a surface. Layer with cheddar slices, Gruyère or Swiss slices, and distribute seasoned lobster evenly. Top with remaining bread, buttered side out.
04 - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low. Place sandwiches in pan and cook 3 to 5 minutes per side, pressing gently, until bread is golden and cheeses are melted.
05 - Remove sandwiches from skillet and let stand 1 to 2 minutes to allow cheeses to set slightly. Slice and serve while warm.
